Naivety is a many splendored thing. I believe it is our greatest asset and quality as individuals. It enables us to see the good in everything and think positively about the world. We understand less but believe more. Without naivety the world is a cruel and corrupt rock.
Once you lose your naivety you can never regain it. Its like the first time you experience anything. You become desensitized. I am slowly coming to realize this. I have yet to be the victim of this cruelty but I begin to see the true nature of humanity all around me.
